What Are Build Logs?
Build logs are detailed progress updates that chronicle the construction of each diorama project. They include:
- Step-by-step progress with photos
- Techniques used and lessons learned
- Materials and tools for each stage
- Problem-solving and creative decisions
- Timeline updates showing real-world build schedules

Each build log follows a consistent structure:
- Current Stage - What phase of the build we’re in
- Work Completed - What was accomplished since last update
- Photo Gallery - Progress photos with captions
- Techniques Used - Methods and skills applied
- Challenges & Solutions - Problems encountered and how they were solved
- Materials & Tools - What was needed for this stage
- Next Steps - What’s coming in the next update
- Time Investment - Approximate hours spent
Update Frequency
Build logs are posted as projects progress:
- Major updates - Significant milestones completed
- Technique spotlights - When using interesting new methods
- Problem-solving - When overcoming noteworthy challenges
- Phase completions - End of hull, rigging, painting, etc.
